Child actors shine in Egyptian TV series

Several child actors garnered attention in various TV series for their exceptional acting skills in unforgettable scenes in Ramadan 2025.
Some of these young talents debuted in this Ramadan season, while others returned with acting experience in previous series.
Ali El-Beialy – Lam Shamseya
In Lam Shamseya, a series that received high praise from audiences, Ali El-Beialy took on the leading role of Youssef—a young boy grappling with the trauma of sexual harassment at the hands of his father's close friend and Arabic tutor, Wissam (played by Mohamed Shahin).
Throughout 15 episodes, El-Beialy delivered a nuanced performance that captured the emotional complexity of a 9-year-old navigating the aftermath of abuse. His ability to channel vulnerability, confusion, and resilience brought depth to the character and made a lasting impact.
Both viewers and critics responded with widespread acclaim, highlighting El-Beialy's remarkable talent for evoking empathy and fostering a deeper understanding of such sensitive issues.
At just 11 years old, El-Beialy already had experience in front of the camera, appearing in the seventh season of El-Kebeer Awy (2023).
Karim El-Herz – Ashghal Shaqa Gedan
In Ashghal Shaqa Gedan, Karim El-Herz played the supporting role of Saber Okasha, a cheeky classmate of Dr. Hamdy's children.
Though his screen time was limited, El-Herz's performance in one scene went viral, catapulting him into the spotlight. In this now-famous moment, Dr. Hamdy attempts to bribe Saber with food and money to keep him from bullying his kids—giving El-Herz the perfect opportunity to showcase his comedic flair.
His delivery displayed timing and maturity beyond his years, blending effortlessly into the show's humour-filled rhythm.
Already a rising online personality, El-Herz has over 600k followers on TikTok, where his brand of comedy has earned him a loyal fan base. His natural talent, expressive range, and sense of timing solidified his status as one of the breakout young stars of the season.
Selim Mohamed – Kamel El-Addad++
In the family-centric series Kamel El-Addad++, Selim Mohamed plays Omar, the young son of Ahmed (Sherif Salama) and Laila (Dina El-Sherbiny).
Known for his charming TikTok videos with his mother (garnering over 100k followers), Selim joined the cast in the show's third season. He portrays an older version of Omar, who had previously appeared as a newborn in season two.
Selim brought lively, heartwarming energy to the role. His standout moments included perfectly mimicking other characters and expressing surprisingly thoughtful reflections for a child his age. These moments injected humour and emotional warmth into the series, further endearing him to the audience.
Moustafa Mansour – 80 Bako
Possibly the youngest talent on screen this Ramadan, Moustafa Mansour portrayed Sasa, the son of Abir (Rahma Ahmed), in the series 80 Bako.
Only three years old, Moustafa is the real-life son of actress Rahma Ahmed. His presence added an extra layer of authenticity and charm to their on-screen dynamic. Audiences were particularly touched by scenes in which he sings alongside his mother, revealing a natural, heartwarming bond.
Over 15 episodes, this genuine mother-son chemistry became one of the show's highlights, creating memorable and emotionally rich moments that resonated with viewers.
Yazan El-Essawy – W Te2abl Habib, Ekhwaty, and Hakim Basha
Yazan El-Essawy was a familiar face in three different Ramadan series, each of which showcased a different side of his acting range.
In W Te2abl Habib, he played Adam, the young son of Karim Fahmy's character, who is coping with the devastating loss of his mother.
In Ekhwaty—the only 15-episode series of the trio—Yazan appeared as Abdalla, Ruby's son, mourning the loss of his father. One of his most talked-about scenes featured him innocently playing with a stash of dollar bills he found in his mother's box, adding a moment of both levity and poignancy.
In Hakim Basha, Yazan portrayed Samir, the son of Mostafa Shaaban's character. At just five years old, he tackled the added challenge of speaking in the Sa'idi (Upper Egyptian) dialect, impressing audiences with his adaptability.
Yazan had previously appeared in Awlad Rizk 3, where he played the son of Ahmed Ezz. This role added to a growing list of high-profile roles, making him one of the most recognisable child actors of the moment.
