Pope Tawadros meets with mayor of Polish town

 Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the St. Mark Diocese has received the mayor of a Polish town at the Church of St. John the Baptist and St. Philopateer Mercurius (Abu Sefein) in Warsaw.

The pontiff is visiting Poland as part of his pastoral tour of the Diocese of Central Europe.

During the meeting, Pope Tawadros expressed his deep appreciation for the support provided by local authorities to the Coptic Church in Poland.

He also highlighted the Journey of the Holy Family in Egypt, noting that the visit has given Egypt a special spiritual status.

The pontiff also pointed out that Egypt enjoys peace and stability despite regional challenges. (MENA)
